Sep. 14 MetalBiz--According to the Japan Association of Iron Sources' statistics that in the second week in September 2009, the average price of No. 2 remelting scrap in Kanto, Chiba-ken and Kansai was JPY 27,121 per ton, slid by JPY 600 per ton. The price tumbled for the successive two weeks, with accumulative falling extent of JPY 2,767.
In this week, the average cash purchasing price No. 2 remelting scrap in Kanto is JPY 27,417 per ton, glided by JPY 666 per ton; the price of No. 2 scrap in Chiba-ken is JPY 25,880 per ton, down by JPY 800 per ton; that of No. 2 scrap in Kansai is JPY 28,067 per ton, decreasing by JPY 333 per ton. The mainstream price in the market is the average benchmark price.
