Leshan build a stainless steeltown with a large sum of money

August 31 MetalBiz--On the afternoon of August 28, "West China's stainless steeltown" Leshan Shawan investment promotion meeting was held in Mountain Emei. In the meeting, 13 enterprises signed the investment agreement, and the investment amount totaled to 2.68bln yuan. It marked that "West China's stainless steeltown" set sail.

It is learned that "West China's stainless steeltown" is located in Jianong Town, and its planed area is 11.2 square kilometers. The local arranged that it takes 8 years to 10 years to build up a stainless steeltown with one hundred billion yuan per year, assembling the producing, processing, distribution and trading stainless steel.

As the core enterprise of "West China's stainless steeltown", Southeast Stainless Company will complete and bright into production the 1,450mm hot-rolled product line. The project will take 26 months, and the total investment amounted to more than 1bln yuan. When the project is put into production, it is expected that the new-added revenue may reach around 4bln yuan, and the new-added employees are over 600.
