Taiwan CSC plans to raise its prices for October

Published: 12 Aug 2009 23:01:08 PST

August 13 MetalBiz--It is learned that Taiwan China Steel Corp. plans to follow up Baosteel to adjust up its prices for October-November, up by NT$1,500-2,000 per ton.

China Baosteel has increased prices for September by 900 yuan per ton.

But traders stated that although Chian Baosteel and Taiwan Steel Corp. in the recent months lifted prices, the market demand is not very strong, instead, the price uptrend mainly results from the steelmakers' reduction in production.
