Hebei Iron and Steel raises debar and wire rod price

Debar and wire rod price of Hebei Iron and Steel are adjusted to 4,900 yuan / ton and 4,750 yuan / ton, higher than Shagang's new EXW price, 4,620 yuan / ton and 4,650 yuan / ton.

Hebei Iron and Steel's significantly raising its prices caused Beijing market to follow up, the increase degree up to 200 yuan / ton. 6.5mm high wire rod price and 16-25mm HRB335 price respectively go up to 4,800 yuan / ton and 4,900 yuan / ton.

Shanghai spot market underwent an increase of over 300 yuan / ton this week, and then remained steady, an overall adjustment of 50 yuan / ton. 6.5mm high wire rod and plain wire rod of this specification were respectively 4,550 yuan / ton and 4,470-4,500 yuan / ton. In addition, 18-22mm HRB335 was quoted at 4,450 yuan / ton, surfacing 4,400 yuan / ton in market.

A Jiangsu trader thought that the current prices have jumped high level. The prices at Shanghai Future Exchange posted the sluggish trend on August 4 after the increasing tendency for 11 consecutive days.
