Netherlands scrap export volume in 2008 fell

July 22 MetalBiz--Netherlands exported 4,574,000 tons of scrap steel, down 5.5% year on year.

Among them, the number of scrap exported to Germany was 1,288,000 tons, accounted for 28.15% of the total exports, a decline of 7.5% on an annual basis; that exported to Turkey for 1,097,000 tons, taking up 23.97% of the total exports, up 1.2% year on year.

Besides, the scrap exported to Belgium was 555,000 tons, accounting for 12.13% of the total, down 25.8% year on year; that exported to Spain for 340,000 tons, taking up 7.43% of the total, decreasing 6.9% on an annual basis.
