US Nucor Corp. to adjust up sheet prices again

July 21 MetalBiz--After the American major steel mills' third appreciation, currently Nucor Corp. declares the sheet prices is adjusted up US$60 / ton, taking into effect right now, it is uncertain that whether the demand can support this appreciation.

At present, the price of American domestic HRC is around US490-500 / ton, but it is said that the price steel mills require hit US$520 / short ton.

A trader noted that, before this, we don't think the prices are continuing climbing, while from the prospect of increased prices and the transaction price of last time, it has exceeded the expectation, now we don't know the reason of increasing prices. Steel mills will push the prices to go on jumping, but more and more traders won't follow up them.
