July 16 MetalBiz--China's National Development and Reform Commission said on July 15 that it had issued this year's second batch of coal export quota on June 30, at 25mln tons.
This will make China's total coal export quota reach 51mln tons for the whole year, compared to 47.7mln tons last year.
China's coal exporting enterprises include Shenhua Group, China National Coal Group Corp., Shanxi Coal Import and Export Group, and China Minmetals Corp.
The country's coal exports in the first half year slumped 54% year on year to reach 11.67mln tons, mainly due to the global economic recession as well as its less competitive coal price.
