July 9 MetalBiz--According to Smain Kouadria, the spokesman of ArcelorMittal Annaba, Algerian subsidiary of the giant steel company, 7000 workers have been on an indefinite strike complaining about wage and working condition at ElHadjar Steel and server centers in Algeria since July 6, 2009.
However, the management of ArcelorMittal Annaba denied their request for higher wages due to the financial economic crisis and poor performance of the company's steel products sales.
