MUMBAI, July 7 (Reuters) - India's state-run National Aluminium Co Ltd (NALCO) (NALU.BO) sold 4,500 tonnes of aluminium ingots a premium of $79.5 a tonne to the LME cash price on a CIF basis, a senior official in the company said on Tuesday.
The buyer was a Switzerland-based company, said the official, who has direct knowledge of the deal but did not want to be identified.
The shipments will start this month and take place in three instalments, the official said.
NALCO, whose tenders serve as an international benchmark, last sold aluminium ingots at the end of June at $76 a tonne over LME, the same source had said.
