June 30 MetalBiz-Due to weak demand, Commonwealth of Independent (CIS) pig iron exporters have exited markets. Many steel mills are busy arranging previous orders, at least a Russian manufacturer disclosed that it would not return to the markets before August, till fulfillment of producing contract for August (delivery in Sep.). This contract signed in June, set the goods are shipped to Far East from Black Sea with U.S.$250 per ton (FOB).
A Ukrainian steel mill also signed a pig iron contract in early-June, provided that the goods are shipped to different areas from Black Sea with U.S.$ 230-240 per ton (FOB), however, till now there is no new transaction.
