May 31 MetalBiz—ArcelorMittal south-Africa based company plans to follow the global steel markets development tendency, increased the prices in July. The prices of flat products adjust up 250 Rant per ton (U.S.$30.10 per ton), jumped 4%-5% and the long products averagely increase 300 Rant per ton, with a 5%-6% growth.
The company said that the international market presented the positive signs in the past few weeks. The price of flat products and long products both slightly increased. It is the first time for the company to adjust up prices since September last year. The average price of steel products has slipped more than 60% from September last year to May this year.
