China's billet import&export in April May 13 MetalBiz--According to the latest customs statistics, China exported steel 1.41mln tons in April 2009, fell 260,000 tons than March, representing a 70.5% decline over in the same period last year; China imported steel 1.62mln tons in April, the growth of 350,000 tons than March.

Exports billet 0 in April, imports billet 670,000 tons, increased 210,000 tons than March.

China imports iron ore 57mln tons in April, imports total 188.46mln tons in January-April, an increase of 22.9%.

China cumulative exports steel 6.55mln tons in January-April, down 59.5% y-o-y, a total of 4,850,000 tons of imported steel, glided 14.5% on an annual basis.
