Meridian Minerals to purchase zinc tenements from Lennard Shelf

Meridian Minerals to purchase zinc tenements from Lennard ShelfMay 12  MetalBiz--Meridian Minerals Limited claimed that it will buy a package of zinc-lead tenements containing current JORC-compliant resources in the Lennard Shelf region of Western Australia, from the Xstrata Zinc/Teck Cominco Limited joint-venture company, Lennard Shelf Pty Ltd.

The Lennard Shelf is one of the world's premier MVT zinc-lead provinces and prior to the commencement of mining in 1987, owned around 41mln tons resources.

Meridian Minerals Company has bought a great number of areas of lead-zinc, including Kapok mine, Kapok West, Cadjebut Splay, Palijippa and wagon Pass, etc., Meridian has paid 25mln for those resources.
