May 8 MetalBiz - In recent time, the Ministry of Land and Resources of China noted it would limit the total mining quantity of tungsten, antimony and rare earth materials to protect and slim down the exploitation of national resources.
The ministry expressed it would ignore all applications for prospecting and mining licenses for the aforementioned resources by June 30th, 2010.
It fixed this year's mining quota for tungsten at 68,555 tons, rare earth at 82,320 tons and antimony at 90,180 tons.
The ministry claimed it would strengthen the supervision of mining companies and provincial land and resources authorities to uncover and eliminate any violations.
