Jinchuan profit goal is 2.1bln Yuan this year, dropped 50% compared with last year

April 1 MetalBiz—On Mar.30, journalist learned from the Asia's largest nickel producer Jinchuan Group in Gansu Province that Jinchuan completed the production and operation mission last year, including 400,000tons non-ferrous metal output, 55.1bln Yuan revenue, 6.2bln Yuan total profit. Jinchuan targeted at 50bln Yuan revenue, 500,000tons non-ferrous production and 2.1bln Yuan profit this year, decreased 50% compared with last year's profit.

General Manager of Jinchuan, Wang Haizhou said that the company plans to achieve 130,000 tons of nickel production, 400,000 tons of copper products and other major products this year, which is the historically first in the company. Additionally, the production organization also faced many difficulties, such as the insufficient production capacity of the final products.

Jinchuan intends to invest 4bln Yuan for mine construction and twenty-four major technological transformation projects this year. The company strives to adjust production construction, elongate industry chain and enter into related fields through project construction, including recycling economy, industrial upgrading, resource conservation and product mix optimization.
