ArcelorMittal SA to raise tin plate price by 79pc
Published: 24 Mar 2009 00:50:55 PSTMar.24 MetalBiz--ArcelorMittal South Africa would bring up the price of tin plate steel by around 80 pc, which would lead to the cans cost rising by 35 pc to 40 pc in Apr. 2009.
Spokesman said ArcelorMittal SA had stated the packaging group of the tin plate prices climb, together with another two steel products used in packaging.
He also said that ArcelorMittal SA would care for the prices again after half year, for another potential adjustment from Oct. ArcelorMittal SA confirmed the price adjustment would begin to work from Apr. 1st, 2009.
