Hong Kong yuan deposits up 10.7 pct in March vs Feb

HONG KONG, April 29 - Yuan deposits in Hong Kong, an offshore market for the Chinese currency, increased to 451.4 billion yuan ($69.43 billion) in March, up 10.7 percent from a month earlier, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority said on Friday.

Cross-border trade settled in yuan rose 32 percent in March on a month-on-month basis to 115.4 billion yuan.
