HK forex reserves at $256.2 bln at end-May - HKMA

HONG KONG, June 7 - Hong Kong's official foreign currency reserve assets stood at $256.2 billion at the end of May, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority said on Monday, down 1.16 percent from $259.2 billion at the end of April.
Hong Kong, whose currency is linked to the U.S. dollar, ranks as the world's seventh-largest holder of foreign currency reserves after mainland China, Japan, Russia, Taiwan, India and South Korea.
