JAKARTA, Nov 5 - Indonesia's President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said on Thursday that he would focus on legal reform, eradicating what is known in Indonesia as the legal mafia, as part of his government's proramme for the first 100 days.
"I say to the people of Indonesia, who feel like they have become victims of this mafia in the past, or perhaps even now are a victim, to report this," Yudhoyono said at a press conference.
"To the people I say let us make our system clean. Let's knock down corruption."
He also said the government would focus on counter-terrorism, revitalisation of the defence industry, and tackling electricity shortages.
