NEW YORK, Nov 4 - U.S. stocks briefly cut gains on Wednesday in choppy trading after the Federal Reserve decided to leave interest rates unchanged.
The Dow Jones industrial average was up 110.41 points, or 1.13 percent, at 9,882.32, after briefly trimming its advance to below 1 percent, and then turning higher again. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index was up 10.46 points, or 1.00 percent, at 1,055.87. The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 14.00 points, or 0.68 percent, at 2,071.32.
