CONTEXT:

-- In the three months ended September, the volume of sales rose by 4.5 percent, seasonally adjusted, from the preceding three months.

-- Hong Kong pulled out of recession in the second quarter but consumers are still cautious as weak exports continue to weigh on the economy.
