HONG KONG, Oct 28 - Hong Kong stocks are set to open down 0.74 percent on Wednesday, as a weak finish on Wall Street on Tuesday likely sidelined investors, while others continue to pocket recent gains.
Aluminum Corp of China dropped 3 percent. The aluminium maker returned to profit in July-September after three quarterly losses. But its net profit of 21.27 million yuan ($3.11 million) in the third quarter was down 88 percent from a restated profit a year earlier.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index was indicated to open down 165.04 points at 22,004.55.
The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks was set to fall 0.83 percent to 13,036.15.
Wynn Macau, a unit of Wynn Resorts, fell 3.26 percent. Wynn Resorts reported results on Tuesday in the U.S. and company gave a downbeat outlook, causing its shares to tumble 11 pct in U.S.
