TAIPEI, Oct 28 - Taiwan stocks opened 0.26 percent lower on Wednesday, as weaker-than-expected U.S. consumer confidence raised doubts over the strength of the economic recovery and weighed on exporters such as Hon Hai.
The main TAIEX share index fell 19.90 points to 7,637.44, extending losses in the previous session.
Electronics parts giant Hon Hai fell 1.09 percent, with the electronics sub-index down 0.31 percent.
