REFILE-View on China FX reserve shift was own, researcher says
Published: 25 Oct 2009 18:48:28 PSTBEIJING, Oct 26 - The Chinese researcher who called in an opinion piece on Monday for China to buy more euros and yen for its foreign exchange reserves said he was expressing purely personal views. [ID:nPEK285229]
Zhou Hai, a division chief with the financial research department of the Harbin branch of the People's Bank of China, was responding to an enquiry by Reuters after his article prompted a sell-off in the dollar. [ID:nTKW006622]
"It is purely my personal view," Zhou said.
