TAIPEI, Oct 20 - Taiwan stocks ended up 0.03 percent on Tuesday, gaining for a fifth session, with Apple's suppliers such as Quanta rising after the U.S. PC brand's quarterly results exceeded analysts' forecasts.
The main TAIEX share index finished up 2.20 points at 7,753.52. The index reached a 2009 intraday high at 7,811.92 by midday.
Quanta Computer, the world's largest contract laptop PC maker, gained 2.68 percent. The computer and peripheral equipment sub-index edged up 0.51 percent.
