TAIPEI, Oct 19 - Taiwan auctioned T$35 billion ($1.1 billion) in 273-day treasury bills at a yield of 0.243 percent, the central bank said on Monday, matching market expectations.
A Reuters poll of bond dealers had expected the yield to be between 0.2 percent and 0.25 percent. The last time the government issued 273-day treasury bills was in March, when the yield was 0.2 percent.
Taiwan planned to issue T$265 billion in government bonds and bills in the fourth quarter, the Finance Ministry said in September, as the government boosts public spending to help jumpstart the sagging economy.
In the first nine months of this year, Taiwan issued T$330 billion in bonds and T$260 billion in treasury bills.
