TAIPEI, Oct 16 - Taiwan stocks opened up 0.02 percent on Friday following overnight gains on Wall Street, with Foxconn Tech rising after its parent Hon Hai Group expands its investment in China.
The main share index opened up 1.63 points at 7,712.03, after reaching a 16-month closing high in the previous session.
Foxconn Tech rose 1.92 percent, while the electronic sub-index fell 0.09 percent.
