TABLE-Breakdown of China's Sept property investment

BEIJING, Oct 15 - China's real estate investment gathered pace in September, growing 17.7 percent in the first nine months after a 14.7 percent rise in the first eight months, the National Bureau of Statistics said on Thursday.

Newly started floor space fell 0.4 percent in the first nine months from a year earlier, compared with a year-on-year drop of 5.9 percent in the first eight months, the statistics agency said.

The property outlook index, which covers price and investment trends in the sector, rose to 101.08 points in September from 100.08 points in August, the agency said.

Chinese property prices in 70 cities rose 2.8 percent in September from a year earlier and 0.7 percent from August.
