HK Hot Stocks-Powerlong up 5 pct vs IPO, Petrochina gains

HONG KONG, Oct 14 - By 0233 GMT, the benchmark Hang Seng Index <.HSI> was up 1.1 percent at 21,704.15.

The China Enterprises Index <.HSCE> of top locally listed mainland Chinese stocks was up 1.3 percent at 12,675.23.

Here are some of the stocks on the move:

* Debutant Powerlong Real Estate Holdings <1238.HK> rallied more than 14 percent before slowing its advance to 5.1 percent, against its IPO price of HK$2.75. The Fujian-based company had originally aimed to raise HK$5 billion ($645.2 million) from the offering.

* PetroChina <0857.HK> rose 3.6 percent to HK$9.81, while CNOOC <0883.HK> gained almost 2 percent to HK$11.72 after U.S. crude futures rose for a fifth day towards their 2009 high of $75 a barrel, helped by a weak dollar.

* Berjaya Holdings (HK) Ltd <0288.HK> vaulted 44.6 percent before trimming its gains to 20 percent at HK$0.89 after parent Berjaya Corp, a Malaysian property, betting and insurance group, said it would sell it a 90 percent stake in its Cosway unit for 900 million ringgit ($265.3 million). * Asia Energy Logistics Group <0351.HK> jumped 8.3 percent to HK$0.17 after it said a subsidiary planned to acquire Ocean Jade, which is negotiating with a third party to form a company focused on investment in marine vessels, from Golden Concord Group Ltd for not less than HK$150 million.
