HONG KONG, Oct 13 - Hong Kong shares finished 0.79 percent higher, trimming midday gains sparked by a return of some risk appetite amid the U.S. dollar's relative weakness and positive company earnings. The benchmark Hang Seng Index rose 168.01 points to 21,467.36.

The China Enterprises Index of top locally listed mainland Chinese companies was up 1.1 percent at 12,507.87.
