US STOCKS SNAPSHOT-Wall St flat on economy, FedEx
Published: 13 Sep 2009 16:46:51 PSTNEW YORK, Sept 11 - U.S. stocks opened flat on Friday as optimism about an economic recovery and FedEx Corp's rosy outlook were offset by profit taking.
The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI> rose 10.88 points, or 0.11 percent, at 9,638.36. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index .SPX> was up 3.13 points, or 0.30 percent, at 1,047.27. The Nasdaq Composite Index .IXIC> gained 1.54 points, or 0.07 percent, at 2,085.56.
