Boeing says sees air cargo traffic growing in 2010

HONG KONG, Sept 9 - U.S. aerospace giant Boeing Co said it expects cargo traffic to return to growth in 2010, a senior executive said on Wednesday.

The statement came from Jim Edgar, regional director, cargo marketing for Boeing at the Asian Aerospace Expo in Hong Kong.

Boeing, like its European rival, EADS' Airbus unit, has endured a difficult year as carriers and air cargo operators have seen less business during the global recession.

At the Paris Air Show in June, Randy Tinseth, vice president of marketing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes, had said that cargo traffic appeared to be "bouncing along the bottom".
