MANILA, Sept 9 - The Philippine central bank said on Wednesday its policy stance could continue to remain accommodative because of tepid inflation.
"There is still room for BSP (the central bank) to continue to be appropriately accommodative," Governor Amando Tetangco told reporters, adding that inflation remained in line with targets for this year and 2010.
The central bank held rates steady at its last policy meeting last month, ending a series of rate cuts since December last year. The next policy meeting is on Oct 1.
