Philippines says in advanced talks on RTB issue
Published: 01 Sep 2009 21:41:53 PSTMANILA, Sept 2 - The Philippine Bureau of Treasury is in advanced talks with banks on issuing retail treasury bonds, Treasurer Roberto Tan said on Wednesday.
Asked about the volume of the issue or when it might be launched, Tan told Reuters: "We are in discussions. Anything is possible."
He added that banks had proposed the issue be split into 3-, 5- and 7-year tenors but no decision had been taken. "We are considering it."
