Published: 28 Aug 2009 00:54:26 PST

HONG KONG, Aug 28 - UBS <UBSN.VX> on Friday named Rajiv Louis as head of Indonesia investment banking, effective immediately, according to an internal memo seen by Reuters. Louis takes over from Jonathan Chang and will report to Asia Pacific Investment Banking heads, David Chin and Matthew Hanning. Chang is leaving to become the chairman of the Jardine Group company.

Louis has worked in the country for more than a decade, joining UBS in 2003. Louis has been a key figure in developing the bank's Indonesian franchise, according to the memo, which says that UBS has been the top revenue generating investment bank in the country for four of the last six years.

"Indonesia remains a key market for UBS," Chin and Hanning said in the memo.
