CANBERRA, Aug 11 - Interest rates in Australia will eventually rise, along with global interest rates, as the world recovers from the global downturn, Treasurer Wayne Swan said on Tuesday.
In a statement to parliament, Swan said unemployment in Australia would continue to rise for some time, while recent positive economic data would flow through to forecasts in the government's mid-year budget update, due later in the year.
