GS Construction says wins $500 mln plant order from Iran

SEOUL, June 24 - South Korean builder GS Engineering & Construction Corp won a $500 million order to build a liquefied natural gas plant in Iran, company officials said on Wednesday.

GS, which will build the plant together with Iran's Pideco, received a letter of intent for the $1 billion project, a GS official told Reuters by telephone.

GS has 50 percent of the project, the official added, asking not to be identified because he was not authorised to speak to the media.
