NEW YORK, April 3 - The Dow Jones industrial average briefly turned positive on Friday as technology stocks extended gains and financials reversed an earlier drop.
* The Nasdaq and the S&P 500 indexes also traded in positive territory, with sentiment on technology shares lifted by results from BlackBerry maker Research In Motion that surpassed expectations.
* Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke on Friday said the Fed will use all tools to stabilize markets and set the stage for an economic recovery.
* The Dow Jones industrial average dropped 2.15 points, or 0.03 percent, to 7,975.93. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index gained 2.09 points, or 0.25 percent, to 836.47. The Nasdaq Composite Index gained 10.06 points, or 0.63 percent, to 1,612.69.
