NEW YORK, March 19 - General Electric Co does not expect to have to raise additional capital this year, even if the adverse economic scenarios that it has prepared itself for play out, executives said on Thursday.

"I don't see a scenario here where we would have to raise external capital," said Keith Sherin, chief financial officer of the U.S. conglomerate.

"We have strong liquidity and limited refinancing risk today," said Michael Neal, chief executive of GE Capital.
