Blockbuster hires professionals to explore bankruptcy
Published: 03 Mar 2009 18:07:29 PSTNEW YORK, March 3 - U.S. movie rental chain Blockbuster has hired lawyers to explore a possible bankruptcy filing, a source familiar with the matter told Reuters on Tuesday.
The company has hired law firm Kirkland & Ellis and is also working with investment bank Rothschild, said the source, who asked not to be named.
