NEW YORK, Feb 27 - The dollar pared losses against the yen on Friday after a report showed business activity in the U.S. Midwest in February contracted at a less severe rate as production inched up.
The dollar was last at 97.63 yen, compared with 97.41 yen before the report, but still down 0.8 percent on the day.
