Night Snow

Yè xuĕ
夜雪
Yĭ yà qīn zhĕn lĕng,
已讶衾   枕冷，
Fù jiàn chuāng hù míng.
复见    窗    户明。
Yè shēn zhī xuĕ zhòng,
夜   深    知雪重，
Shí wén zhé zhú shēng.
时   闻    折竹声。

Night Snow
Beneath the quilts I feel the cold chill to the bone,
And I see the window brightened with a gleam of light.
I hear now and then the bamboos split and moan,
Then I know a heavy snow falls deep in the night.
