Asia's "Industry Trade Publisher", Ringier, paves the way to booming Middle East market with the launch of four new trade magazines covering metalworking, plastics, manufacturing equipment and food processing

Leveraging its over 10 years of experience helping China manufacturers use innovative industry media to get quality sales results and build brand in the China, Asia and worldwide industrial centers, Ringier Trade Publishing Ltd, has partnered with Deutscher Verkehrs-Verlag (DVV) Group – an international B2B trade publisher with over 60 years experience and operations in the Middle East-to launch 4 new industry trade magazines designed to take China & Taiwan suppliers to the Middle East.

"The launch of our new Middle East magazines is simply a response in the China & Taiwan  markets to meet a growing trend –the communication needs of  suppliers from this region that are shifting their investments to markets that can deliver better opportunities, namely the Middle East," says Michael Hay, Managing Director of Ringier. "Although the global economy is expected to face challenges in 2009, the Middle East and other emerging markets that are insulated from the economic downturn represent the real opportunities for China manufactures".

The world's hottest industrial market

The World Bank report showed that the Middle East economy had grown at a rate of 4.7% in 2007 and its GDP grew around 5% in 2008. Even in the wake of the global economic crisis, the Middle East is expected to continue impressive growth through 2010 and GDP is expected to grow steadily long term until 2035. The construction boom and the continuing importance of the Middle East to the global energy market have resulted in massive industrial growth. Strong demand continues in the construction, heavy equipment and transport sectors, infrastructure development as well as the gas, oil and petrochemical industries. The total value of approved projects has now reached US$ 1.2 trillion and the Middle East is now the world's largest plant equipment, vehicles and construction machinery market that receives more foreign direct investment than another region in the world. Heavy demand exists for specialized metal products, tools and machinery, specialized applications in welding, bonding and surface treatment technologies, plastics machinery and materials, construction equipment, food processing machinery and other supplies.

In a strategic partnership Ringier and DVV have combined to launch 4 professional magazines in 2009 to focus on the Middle East and North Africa markets. The four Middle East magazines include: International Metalworking News – Middle East, International Plastics News – Middle East, Industrial Reporter – Middle East, Food Manufacturing Journal – Middle East. Each magazine is published and printed in Dubai six times a year. These magazines aim to provide professionals engaged in metalworking, plastics, manufacturing equipment and food processing with the best information available on these industries, while serving as a media channel for  machinery and materials exporters to enter the Middle East market.

Based on the qualified reader database of DVV, these magazines would reach over 28,000 manufacturing decision-makers in the Middle East and North Africa who plan the purchase of machinery, materials and execute manufacturing strategies, and plant managers who evaluate and make recommendations. With strong editorial teams backed by a network of correspondents and industry experts, Ringier is expected to bring into its Middle East editions the same excellent market information and technology articles that have been its trademark in its Asian editions.
