Manage Buying Information

A Buying Lead is a purchase request posted by a buyer. Essentially, it is an invitation to suppliers to send their quotes regarding a certain product or product range.

Post Buying Information


Post a Buying Lead if you cannot find the products you want to source on Alibaba.com. Most suppliers do not post their entire inventory, so tell suppliers what you want and let the right suppliers come to you.

When posting your Buying Leads, you can specify your preferred method of contact or conceal your company information.

To post Buying Leads without disclosing contact information, please take the following steps:

1. Sign in at My Alibabahttp://us.my.alibaba.com/
2. Click Post a New Buying Lead in the Buying section
3. Complete the form
4. In the Contact Preference section, please select Allow all Suppliers to contact me by email only.
5. Click Submit to post.

If you are a member, you can post Buying Leads under Buying Tools in My Alibaba, or by clicking one of our Post Buying Leads links on our website.

If you are not yet a member, you can post Buying Leads from many pages by clicking one of our Post Buying Leads links on our website. Complete the registration form and you can post a Buying Lead as a free member of Alibaba.com.

Upon publication, suppliers will be able to view your Buying Leads and respond accordingly. Responses from Suppliers will be sent to your Message Center in My Alibaba.

Edit Buying Information

Go to My Alibabaand view the status of your Buying Leads on your My Alibaba homepage or in the Manage Buying Leads section. Your Buying Lead status may be one of the following:

Editing Required: This includes Buying Leads that require editing before they can be posted on Alibaba.com Approval Pending: This includes Buying Leads that have been posted but have yet to be approved by Alibaba.com. The approval process usually takes 24 hours
Approved: This includes Buying Leads that are approved and published on Alibaba.com
Expired:This includes Buying Leads that have passed the expiration date you specified

Please note: You can only edit, delete or re-post Buying Leads in Editing Required, Approved or Expired status.
Delete Buying Information

Please take the following steps:

1. Sign in at My Alibaba at http://us.my.alibaba.com/
2. Click "Manage Buying Leads" in the "Buying" section
3. Select a Buying Lead and click the "Delete" to remove it.

Your Buying Lead will be removed from our site within 24 hours.

Please note that Buying Leads in Approval Pending status cannot be deleted.
