Why can I log in to the Alibaba.com site but not TradeManager?

If you failed to sign in to your TradeManager, here are 3 possible reasons why:

  1. Your computer has not connected to the Internet successfully.
  2. Check your proxy settings as follows:
  • Open the Alibaba site.
  • Click "Internet Options".
  • Click "Connection".
  • Click "LAN settings".

If the "Lan Settings" are ticked, with address and port settings, it means that your browser is using the  proxy. Please take the following actions to apply the same settings to your TradeManager:

    • Click "Preferences" in the "File" option.
    • Choose "Use Proxies" after clicking "Connection".
    • Tick "Use Http Proxies"(Or tick "Default Browser Setting").
    • Enter the appropriate Server and Port.

3.   Please check your computer firewall allows access to the TradeManager program.
