Kanpur-based company launches two new inks for food packaging

Tirupati Inks has launched two new inks specially designed for food packaging applications that are said to provide the same qualities and properties as the solvent base inks. EcoImpex and EcoAquva are aftermarket inks that join the company's Streamline product line. Both these are high-quality solvent&water-based inks and have been designed for wide web/surface gravure and flexo printers, particularly for high-speed gravure and central impression type flexo printers. The inks are formulated to have similar colour and physical properties to the solvent base flexible packaging inks. This means that existing colour profiles and settings can be used to achieve right densities and other physical properties during film printing for food packaging.
EcoImpex as well as EcoAquva inks have technical and performance properties that match the solvent base flexible packaging inks. These properties include top quality gloss properties, low-energy consumption when drying, excellent adhesion and chemical resistance while odours are kept to a minimum. These inks are non-flammable, non-hazardous and have  good adhesion to a wide range of substrates.
