The world fair for beverage and liquid food technology, drinktec, is getting good response with exhibition halls being virtually fully booked. Who's who of the beverage and liquid food industry are expected to be present at the event, which will be held in Munich from September 14-19, 2009.
In spite of the current economic crisis, drinktec is reporting full halls and inquiries still coming in. This is evident from the fact that there will be around 1,500 exhibitors from 60 different countries showcasing their products at the exhibition centre in Munich. Norbert Bargmann, managing director, Messe München, said, "The companies in the beverages&liquid food industry around the world also have to contend with the economic crisis. The exhibitors have great expectations from drinktec. They know that drinktec can mark a turning point and give real impetus to the sector."
Richard Clemens, managing director, Food Processing and Packaging Machinery Division, VDMA (Germany´s engineering federation), said, "The sector is looking forward eagerly to an almost fully booked drinktec, even though the general economic situation at the moment is anything but rosy. drinktec is the number one trade event for the sector and exhibitor expectations are correspondingly high. We are very confident that the next drinktec will be a real highlight for the industry."
