Drintec 2009 to be held in September

Drinktec, one of the leading trade fairs for beverage and liquid food technology, will be held in New Munich Trade Fair Centre, Germany from September 14-19, 2009. This fair is an unique meeting place for trade visitors and leading suppliers from the entire beverages and liquid food industry.

Since 1951, drinktec had been held in Munich. This year it will be taking place for the 11th time. Since 1985, when the four-year cycle was introduced, the number of exhibitors has almost doubled. In the same period, the number of foreign exhibitors rose from 45 per cent to 52 per cent. A similarly positive trend has been observed on the visitor side. In 2005, there were 66,873 registered visitors from over 162 countries. Almost all the visitors were trade professionals. Drinktec 2005 was attended by 1,469 exhibitors from 60 countries.

Drinktec 2009 will showcase the latest technology developments in the industry. More than 70,000 visitors from 170 countries are expected at drinktec 2009. About 16 exhibition halls are expected to be filled with innovations and the latest developments in the beverage and liquid food technology.
