Taiwan stocks close flat, techs down
Published: 09 Nov 2008 22:07:08 PSTTAIPEI, Nov 10 - Taiwan stocks closed slightly lower on Monday as a surprise interest rate cut failed to cheer investors after Friday's weak October export numbers added to the bleak global economic climate.
The main TAIEX stock index <.TWII> fell 2.06 points to close at 4,740.27, despite gains in regional markets following moves by China and other G20 nations to fight the economic slowdown by lending support to exporters.
