Obama welcomes planned global financial summit
Published: 22 Oct 2008 18:22:46 PSTRICHMOND, VA., Oct 22 - U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama on Wednesday welcomed a plan for President George W. Bush to host a global financial summit in the Washington area on Nov. 15.
"I am happy today that the White House announced a summit that provides an opportunity to advance the kind of cooperation I called for last month. America must lead and other nations must be part of the solution too," he said.
